Which deck would you pick for an aft cabin?

Currently booked in a C1 cabin (deck 9) on the Equinox for a cruise in Nov. 2017. There are still C1 cabins available on decks 10, and 11. Deck 12 is right under the buffet so not interested in 12. If you were in my shoes, would you move up to a higher deck or would you stay put on deck 9?

 

Interested in hearing opinions from more seasoned cruisers than us.

We love Deck 12. The noise is barely there and does not bother us. Leave on Monday for our second time booked on aft Deck 12. It is great to walk down the hall to the pool!

We were on deck 12 #2215 Reflection, and barely heard any noise from above or anywhere else!

Deck 12 also has some shade for those of us with red hair (once) and fair skin. Many of the aft cabins are essentially in the sun with little cover on the veranda. Deck 12 is the solution for this.

Personally we always book deck 11 - the highest possible deck that is between passenger cabins. For us the higher up the better. We do corner aft but we've also been in the center concierge cabin. Deck 11 is penthouse deck and theoretically the best butlers/cabin stewards.

Hi Claudia, while the corner suite is more than we wanted to spend do you think there would be a big difference between the C1 cabin closest to the corner and the center one? I didn't think there would be so we went with the center one.

There was a C1 stateroom available on 11 so we decided to take it before it was too late.
