Taxi to Champagne and kid-friendly beach?

Hi,

 

We have our own snorkeling equipment, so we are wondering how easy it would be to just get a taxi and go on our own to Champagne reef. I read the ride is about 20 minutes.

 

Are taxis readily available, do they have larger taxies (we will be 4 adults and 3 kids) and how much does it cost?

 

 

Also, is there a kid-friendly beach close by - I read that the Champagne area is too rocky so not good for kids.
