Ecstasy or Sunshine for 21 year old?

I'm buying my daughter a cruise for her 21st birthday. Carnival has always been her favorite line.

 

I'm looking at the Ecstasy or the Sunshine because we live in Charleston SC so they wouldn't involve travel.

 

I know the Sunshine was a recently "redone" ship. I know nothing about the Ecstasy.

 

I'd really like to put her on a newer ship, but the trade costs to Miami are equal to the price of the cruise.

 

Any opinions are appreciated.

Sunshine! Hands down. So much more to offer in terms of sports square, food options, Havana bar...our favorite Carnival ship so far.

I vote for Sunshine as well, much bigger/newer ship with more to offer. I sailed the Sunshine this past August and loved it, huge serenity area which she can now use.

I love them both, Sunshine has more amenities ,Ecstasy is a Fantasy class ship with a few bells to ring ;). If anything my family had more fun on the Ecstasy. Flip a coin and do the other next :D.

She's now eligible for the Serenity areas, and the Sunshine has the best one, fleet wide, in my opinion!

Sunshine. I would choose it over Ecstasy for anyone. So much more to offer (food-wise as well as amenities), not nearly as "dated" looking.

Go for the Sunshine it has one of the best crews on Carnival and in my HOP has by far the best food on any Carnival ship that we have been on in the past 5 years. S0 much more to offer. Happy Cruising and Happy Birthday to your Daughter.

Sunshine rolls up the carpets around 1-2pm so if she is a late night girl I would go with the Ecstasy, day drinking Sunshine.
