Just thought I would jump in with my $.02: in life "honesty is always the best policy". If it were me, I would call RCCL and ask them as others here have suggested. Good Luck

To be eligible for the cancel for any reason cruise credits, notice of cancellation must be given prior to the ship's departure.

I believe that the fact that you are canceling during the period when RCCL (not Royal's insurance) no longer refunds any part of your fare means that you won't have to pay any single supplement. RCCL will still keep all the money paid for your cabin. They can't keep both fares and then try to charge you what would essentially be a 3rd fare.

 

Yes, you will get the 75% cruise credit from Royal's insurance, but they are connected in name only. It is not the same bucket of money that your cruise fare went into. If you had the exact same policy but with another insurer, it would be no different. They don't 'reimburse' you with money that RCCL gives back because RCCL doesn't give back money for cruises canceled this late. That is why you have insurance!
