der93711 Posted May 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2004 we are thinking about upgrading to the mini suites on the TP (8th deck)but fear the noise from above. Anybody who has sailed in these rooms please advise of your experience...good or bad. We are currently in a BC catagory and the rooms appear small. Am I wrong or are they adaquate. wolfgangz Posted May 21, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2004 We were in cabin 8011 in March and never heard any noise from above. We saw the regular cabins and they are adequate. wjz
laurieb Posted May 21, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 21, 2004 the regular balcony cabins are more than adequate space wise. I found ours last year to be very roomy. GottoCruise Posted May 21, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 21, 2004 We were in 8051 - No noise - the mini was great---but for next cruise we booked in Cat. BB on Deck 7 - if we are not upgraded - I think we will be fine in the Cat. BB Balcony cabin....and the savings will buy another cruise!! maggiew Posted May 22, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 22, 2004 We were in 8065 (aft) last year and did hear noise in the very early morning on several days. I think it was crew moving tables around in the outside buffet area above the cabin.
DesertDaisy Posted May 22, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 22, 2004 We were also in cabin 8011 6-5-03. Never heard anything. Very quiet and one of the nicest cabins ever. We did keep our balcony door shut most of the time, maybe that helped, it was quite humid! desertdaisy
gvre Posted May 22, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 22, 2004 We were in 8052 last October and have booked 8055 for this October. Never heard a sound. Before that we spent 2 prvious cruises on deck 7 in a balcony. Go for the mini suite. Worth the extra price IMHO. You can see photos of the mini suite: 2003 tahiti Just go on this cruise it's a great place!!
