Empress of the Seas owners suite?.

Recommended Posts

puggylicious, there are fewer perks on the Empress than on other ships. There is no Concierge Lounge, for example, and thus no Concierge. There are a few parties and such for suite guests, and a suite manager person, but it's not the same as having a suite on larger ships.

What you are actually getting is a larger cabin.

We sailed in an OS on Empress in July. Yes, there are a few additional top tier parties that will include suite guests (even if you are not a top tier). Also, three drinks per day loaded onto your Seapass Card that are available just a few hours each evening and very limited drink choices. There is a special menu for you to choose from. The suite guest breakfast in Chops was wonderful though!!! So peaceful! You will be able to reserve a cabana on CocoCay if that is one of your stops.

We did get priority check in and a special lounge to wait in until boarding, but not escorted disembarkation. No reserved seating in theater or on pool deck either. We loved Empress and has the far forward OS. It was a nice experience, but definitely fewer perks than when sailing in suites in other ships. Empress is small, and is marketed as a boutique ship, so it is definitely a unique experience.

There is not a concierge, but there is a loyalty ambassador. When we sailed, it was Bruno.

We had one of the forward facing owners suites in September. I loved the balcony and that unique experience.

The suite is larger than other cabins on empress but is still small when compared to suites on other ships. It is also unique in that the bed can be separated into two twins. The owners suite on both Majesty and Enchantment had a bed that was a single mattress. I have some pics I can post if you are interested. The bathroom was also very small and the step into the tub seemed even higher than other ships.

I agree with the prior poster - the best perk was breakfast in Chops. You can also order the full dining room menu from room service to enjoy on the balcony for dinner and there was an extended room service menu for breakfast. There was a separate check-in line but if you had any C&A status those lines were also very short. Boarding started early so we did not see the waiting area. The loyalty ambassador spent most of his time talking to a Pinnacle couple he knew from past cruises. The Sailaway party on our cruise was poorly organized and packed. We used the drinks loaded on our card in Boleros - service from Carlos was excellent.

The suites do get the first luggage tag if you put your bags out.

Thank you vavasmom. I would love to see your pictures. We have a forward facing suite so happy to hear you liked it.

We had an owners suite aft on Empress. Loved it! Yes, not as big as suites on other ships. Our bathroom was quite large! Nice Jacuzzi tub, 2 balconies 1 with chairs 1 with loungers. Very relaxing! Only problem is that the rock climbing wall is up a deck or two and you can hear fellow passengers ringing the bell when they climb to the top. We couldn't beat the price. Did miss the perks that are offered on other ships, but loved the aft balcony!

Sounds really nice. I had seen on the deck plans that the aft owners suites are different than the forward ones.
