nkereina Posted December 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2016 Is there a way to see Atlantis Resort without purchasing the pricey Aquaventure pass? We'll be on RCL's Oasis of the Seas in March, and will only have a brief time in port. We'll be with my parents who are in their late 60s and really want to see as much of Atlantis as possible, but I do know that you can't freely walk the grounds there. The waterpark pass is out for us both due to lack of interest and time, so do we have any other options? Is there a pass for the aquarium or something like that? Appreciate any help! Thanks! smootsdce Posted December 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2016 We were just on the Oasis this past week. We took a taxi from the port, which was $4 per person to the hotel and wanted to walk around and see if it was worth spending the money for a pass. We could walk through the hotel lobby, the casino, and the perimeter of the park but not view any of the attractions. It was very windy and the sea was choppy, so not a good beach day and they charge $80 or 90 pp for a beach pass... but it includes lunch! :) You can purchase a pass just for the 3 aquariums. I think it was $50 pp for the 3 aquariums. Hove a great vacation, hope this helps! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Forums mobile app

larry the lobster Posted December 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 7, 2016 So did you just walk around hotel and casino or did you purchase a pass for an attraction?
smootsdce Posted December 7, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 7, 2016 We decided not to buy the pass. We walked to Paradise Beach which is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. We stayed there for a little bit and then walked back to the ship. It was an hour walk back. (Tip... take the bridge closest to the ship as the second will land you further away. lol) We like to explore on our own and after eating/being on board we like to walk good distances. cruiseapril Posted December 7, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 7, 2016 For us, the Aquarium was worth the price. We also enjoyed walking around Marina Village and looking at the huge yachts.
eusftm Posted December 7, 2016 #7 Share Posted December 7, 2016 Was speaking to a family of 4 while we were walking up the pier in Nassau two weeks ago. They were going to spend the day at Atlantis. DW told them of her bad experience a few years ago and how the staff of Atlantis herded them to a small area and that small area was pretty much the only area they would have access to. This family had also experienced the same in the past and they discovered that one can actually reserve a room for ~$275 for a family of four and that provides them access to the entire facility. Cost was pretty much a wash for them as a excursion for 4 was pushing $250. Bonus was a room to wash up and relax if they wanted it. Transportation was negligible to the resort. Might be a better solution both in what your family has access to vs the cost of a excursion. Just ensure you are back on the ship before sailing. smootsdce Posted December 7, 2016 #8 Share Posted December 7, 2016 That is a great tip regarding booking a room. We are going to be there again in just a few weeks with other family members and that is why we didn't go at this time. Thanks for sharing! Were you able to buy the aquarium pass right at Atlantis? Is this something that could sell out?
