sloths

Look for a Gumbalinda Park excursion, but not the zip line or kayaking ones.

Not sure if there are sloths there, but certainly monkeys, iguanas and parrots.

Island Marketing offers a tour for RCL cruisers that does include a visit to see sloths and other animals as well as various beaches.

But if sloths are the main interest, then do contact Daniel Johnson (should be information on other threads on this board). Your MIL is overworrying about missing the ship. Both Island Marketing and Dan and other tour guides, are very aware of the ship's schedules and it is in their best interest to get you back to the ship in plenty of time. You're probably no more than 30 minutes from Coxen Hole on any of the tours to these places.

Daniel Johnson had us back to our ship about 4 hours prior to departure. We could have done a longer tour, but we chose not too. You will get to hold a sloth there, and play with monkeys. As previously stated, they need to make sure you are back at your ship or word would get out, and people would not book their tours anymore.
