If we already have reservations for one of the specialty restaurants the 1st night is it still possible to get the $15 special rate? Where were they offering this rate, about what time? Is First Night Done right available to everyone or just suite guest?

Available to everyone, best be to be safe would be book FNDR and verify the desired time slot. Then cancel the other reservation, just have to ignore the conflict warning.

Was told once on board you can request venue. Only exclusion is Chef's Table and ala carte restaurants. Did not ask about Izumi Teppanyaki.

Looking forward to following along over the next week. My children and I will be taking our first cruise on Oasis next July and it's been hard finding info since her move to PC. I know most things should be pretty much the same but also know change is inevitable and will usually occur when you least expect it. :)

Enjoying your updates tremendously! Thank you for taking the time to share. We are in a Junior suite for the 12/23 sailing and an OS for our sailing in June. First time sailing with the Sea Class/Sky Class. Any difference in Sky Class to the typical Suite perks? We've been in OS for the past few sailings so just wondering...

Time for the nightly/early morning update...

CATS

As many have started before, post intermission is the better "up beat" part. Half the audience didn't return for the second half. In general it is remarkable from an artistic stand point what the cast and musicians are capable of. Personal opinion, don't down play it. If you don't want to dedicate the time to see it, just look at doing the second half. No one is checking cards when returning.

Side note, for those that didn't know. On the lower level, deck 4, they have a bar station setup to serve drinks.

Snacks in the DL and SL

Breaded shrimp

Meat Balls

Empanadas

Don't recall if there was a hot item number 4.

Food

Lunch in Solarium Bistro and Windjammer

Nothing remarkable, chicken caribbean curry was good.

Dinner in Coastal Kitchen

Pork Belly was a touch too crispy. Very hard to cut the top layer even with a steak knife.

Cured salmon was nothing special, just smoked salmon on a pumpernickel bread. Still not such what illness the salmon had.

Duck breast, skin was soggy. Fat wasn't really rendered off.

Captain came by to greet folks dining.

Other than what was posted, not much more to say.

Questions, ask away. I'm sure I can make up some answer that sounds logical.

Drink Package Damage

1 Vodka and soda (think it was goose)

2 beers in the $6 range

3 or 4 Moscow Mules

2 or 3 Espresso Martinis

3 end of bottle drinks (not a full pour, just helping to empty a bottel)

1 glass of unknow chardonnay

4 bottles of water

1 iced americano

Hey Michael! Really enjoyed meeting you on our last Freedom cruise!!;) I'll be cruising with you but, sadly, only in spirit!!:( Anxiously awaiting your posts, and hope to cruise with you again in person sometime soon!!

Don't think I was ignoring your post. Just didn't get a chance to respond.

Thanks for the support in spirit. I do hope our path cross again some time in the future.

It was a blast getting to meet you in person.

Thanks for doing this! Myself, my girlfriend and my daughter will be joining you on board on Sunday.

Question, I have heard donuts by the hot dog house in the morning, is this true?

Also, what time do the bars wind down? Casino?

I've done the Radiance class a ton and loved the glass and festivities. Hopefully this compares to some of the late nights and hoping it doesn't feel too enclosed without the glass every where looking out to sea.

Hope you see you Sunday and not a problem, some what fun doing this. At least for now.

Haven't made it down yet to the Dog House area in the morning yet. Didn't see any cases during the day already setup.

From what I gathered tonight most of the bars started to slow down by midnight. I know the Champagne Bar was closing up around 12:45a-1:00a.

About the only other bar that was going to be open at that time would have been Blaze and the Casino bar.

Closing of the Casino, hard to say. Trying to stay out of it some what. I know at 11:30p it really wasn't that crowded,

If anyone on this sailing is monitoring.

Sorry for hanging everyone to dry and bailing out on the Cabin Crawl.

If you're still interested post back in Roll Call and see if we can get a time setup.

Are you referring to Cabin Crawl on current cruise or the one from roll call for Dec. 18?

Sorry for the long delay. Thought it had been posted.

The message was geared towards any one following on the December 11th sailing.

Still need to think of the best meet up location for the one on the 18th.

Day review...

Didn't do much today at all. Just wondered around and donated some funds to the casino.

Had a few bites from Windjammer. Nothing to really complain about. Food was edible, not top notch quality.

As stated many time before, I'm not after five star stuff. As long as the protein being used has gone past the best use by date beyond a month I could care less.

Dinner was in the MDR

Had the following

Apps

-Salmon Tartar

If you like smoked salmon and don't mind onions, give this a try.

-Shellfish Bisque

Think it had two small shrimp and two or three baby scallops in it. Not bad, didn't find it salty. Did have some fishy undertones. It was something that I like. Once again, personal preference.

Entree

-Leg of Lamb

Once again, nothing overly remarkable. Not bad, not memorable. Personally, tasted like a pot roast style dish with a stronger flavor.

Dessert

-Tres Leches

Not the first thing I would think of. Had some citrus notes to it. Style wise it was a classic layer cake dessert with a meringue topping.

-Warm Donuts

It is called a rendition of a beignet. Having been to New Orleans and having the deal there many times. These were far from that real deal stand point. Seemed kind of like fried biscuit dough.

It wasn’t as expected. But on the flip side, I personally feel they were good. Just don’t live up to par that the menu gives the impression of.

Drink Damage Report

All I need to say is I helped close down the Champagne Bar (1 am).

I can't even start to think what might have been consumed. Know the since 10:30 pm it had been a minimum of 4 drinks.

If you are looking for a quiet location with very friendly staff, visit them on deck 5. This has been my go to location this cruise. I can not give more compliments to the staff.

Was told for next weeks cruise the Deluxe packae will remain at $58 a day. Loyalty discounts still apply (20% D, 30% D+, 40% Pinnacle).

Plans for St Thomas

Nothing as of yet

Thanks all for reading my latest ramblings.

Nite/morning all.

As mentioned many time before. Questions/requests, ask away! I'll do my best to get some sort of information.

Starting to think this thread has gotten to the point where it feels like I'm talking to my self.

So far today, nothing major to report. Well one exception, we are still in St. Thomas.

Can't recall what the details of the announcement were other than we'll be in St. Maarten at the time planned.

In St. Thomas total of six ships were in port.

One Celeberty

One Princess

Two NCL (On being Epic)

Two Royal (Us and Grandeur) Grandeur was stuck tendering to a point across the street from the downtown area.

MDR again for dinner. Only major complaint would have been the sole was on the dry side.

Drink Package Report

The day still hasn't ended.
