Thanks for posting the photos. We leave on Jan. 19 and are looking forward to cruising on the Royal. The only difference in our itinerary is that Bonaire replaces Curacao.

We are on your cruise and ironically are here in Virginia now for Christmas. Are you on the Roll Call Thread?

Back earlier than I thought, I have a bit of time tonight so I'll finish off day one photos...

Our favourite spot was the bar at the International Cafe on deck 5, the bar staff here were awesome and took very good care of us so we took good care of them on the last day...

I took in the Basic Photography Seminar, it was good I like to learn new things to help me take better photos.

I had to miss the GoPro seminar at noon because I wanted to try the Fish n Chips at the Wheelhouse bar for lunch.

Fish n Chip lunch at the Wheelhouse Bar on the first sea day was excellent…

been on all the different size ships of Princess and ironically to me, the Royal is the least crowded feeling. They increased the atrium area of an open more flowing space with much more seating - so definitely no crowded feeling like I had on the Crown, Grand, and Caribbean Princesses off the top of my head.

Further, those ship have the worse layout for a buffet area. It encourages crowding and "cutting in line" arguments all the time. The Royal is set up beautifully and again no sense of crowd.

Enjoy.
