jennew Posted November 14, 2005 #26 Share Posted November 14, 2005 we were overcharged on our NCL cruise last year. We are not drinkers and yet we were charged for a few drinks and we had some charges that made no sense at all. My DH spent a long time on the phone getting it straightened out. He even tried with the credit card company. Never got anywhere...in the end we were out about $100 to $200. (forgot to add that into the total price of the last cruise we took). Needless to say, we won't be sailing NCl anytime soon.
gambit57 Posted November 15, 2005 #27 Share Posted November 15, 2005 I doubt he'd get an apology from Princess. Cruiselines don't seem to think they do anything wrong. Plus, (don't think it'd really be valid, but) on your end of the cruise account paper, it says that if you don't dispute the charges when on the ship, they consider you having accepted them. Did your hubby try and skip the line on the last day and no one would talk to him, or did he stand in line to dispute the charges and no one would still talk to him even after waiting in line. starsjohn Posted November 15, 2005 #28 Share Posted November 15, 2005 In the earlier years of cruising pre 2000, we used to find numerous errors, but in the last few years, the statements have been accurate for Celebrity and Princess for some 40 cruises+.
