Hotel Transfers question -- is it worth the wait?

Silly question so here goes:

I have booked a pre-cruise one night in Miami at the Intercontinental next year and was wondering about the transfers process.

I have read on the boards where most people who book thru Priceline take a cab but if you are booked thru RCCL with the air, transfers and everything (which I am) is it really that bad of a wait in the mornings to get to the port or do they show up when they want? Do you have to call and schedule for them to pick you up or will they automatically know where you are?

Someone please fill me in on the process of the transfers that are booked with RCCL.

Thanks in advance!
