EagleRockers Posted January 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2017 My husband and I will be staying overnight at the MIA Embassy Suites; our cruise is out of Fort Lauderdale the next day and we’re thinking of taking a taxi there. My question: Are most Miami taxi drivers familiar with the Port Everglades cruise terminal area? We had an unpleasant experience a few years back in another port with a taxi driver not knowing where he was going. We plan to leave the hotel around noon; our ship sails at 4 p.m. Many thanks for any advice. By the way, we don’t use Uber and are open to taking a private town car should the taxi not be a good idea.
JohninDC Posted January 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2017 (edited) Taxi should be about $80+ The drive takes about an hour or more. For better service for not much more $$ I would price out private car service with Larry's Limos. I would also call the ES to see if they can suggest a local provider who they regularly use for port transport services.
