TexanTodd Posted January 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2017 We just finished booking a cruise this June on the Vista for our honeymoon. We got the spa balcony that we wanted, but at this time it shows us with anytime dining and both seated dinings with a waitlist. We really don't care for anytime dining, and wanted to try and get a seated dining. Does anyone have any tips for any way that I could possibly get some assistance with trying to get into a seating dining time? Thanks for any feedback, it's greatly appreciated!! HawkIVette Posted January 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2017 Many times, you will get assigned a dining time at the last minute. As we have always liked Early dining ourselves, when we went on our Med. cruise last Sept., we took Anytime Dining for the first time and really enjoyed it. We still went early (around 6 pm) to eat and found a nice table for our group of 5 each night with the same wait staff. Was no different than being scheduled Early Dining. With Early or Late, you will most likely be seated with others (if you don't mind that) but maybe you will want a table to yourself for your honeymoon cruise. With Anytime, it is unlikely that you will have to wait long to get a table for just the 2 of you at anytime during the evening especially if you go early to dinner. We've always loved meeting the different people with regular seating, it's a part of the experience we really enjoy ...
cruiseonthebrain Posted January 2, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2017 Talk to the Maitre De the first day as soon as you board. But I agree that Anytime Dining is the best bet for getting a table for two. We never do scheduled dining anymore.

We usually do the same. That is how we have met a lot of others too. Matter of fact, we met a couple on a cruise 4 years ago that we have cruised with now over 7 times. We really look forward to seeing them again on every cruise. Good way to make great friendships.
bury me at sea Posted January 2, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 2, 2017 Get waitlisted for your preferred dining time. If it doesn't come through the Maitre d' will have a time scheduled on embarkation day to consider requests for changes.
KSH120 Posted January 2, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 2, 2017 Are you on the waitlist yet for the seating you want? For our cruise last April, we got our chosen time well beforehand - probably more than a month out. I got an email saying the waitlist had cleared and the dining time we wanted switched to "confirmed" in the cruise details. I had to call to get on the waitlist. It didn't work to try to switch online.
