Beds in Balcony rooms

Hello,

I am confused about the sleeping arrangements in the balcony rooms on the Getaway. All photos show one large bed and a sofa. We have 2 adults and one child. Does the sofa open up for our child? The family we are travelling with have 2 kids. Will both kids sleep on the sofa or is there a drop down bed somewhere?

Yes, the sofa makes l bed and in the rooms rated for four a second bed drops from the ceiling.

Large bed can be split into 2 beds.

Sofa-bed for 1 child.

Pullman bed drops from the ceiling for the 2nd child (not every balcony stateroom sleeps 4).

Thanks for clearing this up! Where does the Pullman bed drop? Will it be on top of the big bed?

These 2 should illustrate nicely - there are 2 giant slide-out drawers under the sofa bed, where the beddings are stored (when it sofa bed is not used or needed) - feel free to use it.

I would suggest that you have the smaller / shorter one sleep on the sofa. Our sofa pulled out in 3 section. When fully extended, it leaves almost no room to get to the balcony door. For our grandson we pulled the frame out only partially. No problem.

Your room steward will set it up, not to worry - balcony sleeping 3 alternate with the "main" bed near the door vs. the balcony. Many prefer the sofa closer to the bathroom/entry as that's next to the closet.

The seatback foam cushion is removable for this full-sized twin, foam mattress on the *Away ships, AFAIK - just like the regular mattress. The sectional sofa w. 3 parts are generally on the Gem/Jewel/Dawn class ships.
