Goodies in your room like chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, cookies. There is a cocktail party the first night at 5 PM. There are also premier guest only drawings in the casino but you must be present to win. You will get a schedule of events, drinks on us card and your first gift in your cabin upon embarkation.

I'm pretty sure that premier guests that are not platinum or diamond get to board after faster to the fun guests. I'm diamond so I board as soon as I check in as long as boarding has already started. Which premier are you On? I'm on the Jan 28th Glory.

Carnival says you get:

PREMIER CHECK-IN

WELCOME ABOARD COCKTAIL PARTY

COMPLIMENTARY DRINKS WHILE PLAYING IN THE CASINO

COMMEMORATIVE CARNIVAL PLAYERS CLUB® GIFT

PREMIER-ONLY EVENTS AND TOURNAMENTS

OTHER PERKS AND SURPRISES

The other perks are usually chocolate dipped strawberries and cookies delivered to your cabin during the cruise, and sometimes a bottle of wine depending on your play level. The other event is usually a welcome aboard party with drinks and drawings. For the extra prizes, you have to be present to win and other than the welcome aboard party, many of those are late at night inside the casino.

Have a great times. Dream is one of my favorite ships but since I live near Ft Lauderdale I don't get to sail on her much.

We are getting so excited to be sailing on the Dream at the end of July! - looking forward to a few days in New Orleans first too! Do you know the schedule in terms of when the elegant/formal nights are for the cruise?? Just trying to plan our evenings and when to go to specialty dining!

Thanks in advance.

This is from my experience on a 7 day cruise. I looked at your itinerary and according to history your "formal" nights should be day #2 and day #6. Formal night is not usually on a port day nor is ever on the last night (due to having to put luggage out). However with all that said it is up to the CD which nights are formal nights. Here is the rule of thumb I use (which is usually right), the 1st formal night is usually the first sea day, and the 2nd one is usually the second to last sea day.

As for scheduling the specialty dinning (if it is the steak house) and you love wine, they give you a free bottle of CHEAP wine if you schedule on the first night of the cruise. However if you do not want the free CHEAP bottle then you can get ANY bottle for 50% off, which could be a great deal on an expensive bottle of wine. Just a FYI if this your bag of tea, hope all this helps you out.
