Underwatr Posted January 4, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) Just a mention re: the alcohol answers given which are correct - in the cruise contract you will find mention of a limit of one bottle of wine per person, but that policy isn't enforced (and there's an answer in Cunard's FAQs on the subject that some of us interpret to say just that). Bring aboard what you please, either at embarkation or at ports of call. You will be permitted to take it along to your room. madaroch Posted January 4, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted January 4, 2017 Thanks for your replies. I had just heard that Norwegian and Princess no longer are allowing any water or soda, so I figured perhaps maybe Cunard might have a new policy. Salacia Posted January 5, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2017 Just curious, since all water is made onboard these days, how is the "tap" water for drinking on the Queens? Specifically the Queen Vic.... Hi Swinden. No, I don't think all tap water is made on aboard. I observed with interest QM2 taking on water on two occasions; one was in the Caribbean and the second was in Quebec. For those who are interested in such things, the security around those lines was excellent (maybe we don't often think about the extensive measures to insure our safety when it all is so seamless, but just to give credit where credit is due.) Swinden, my husband has no problem with the tap water on board QM2, but I don't like the taste as it tastes rather salty to me. We have yet to sail on QV, so please share your review of the tap water. Best wishes for the new year, and a happy voyage. -S.
