How does the transfer work after the cruise on the breakaway? The reason I'm asking is would be my first time using it.

Have you logged into MYNCL dot com to review it - from what I can see, it's currently offered at $40 p/o one-way for flights out of LGA only ("none" for EWR or JFK) and your flight has to be X # of numbers after scheduled disembarkation time.

 

If there are 2 or more of you traveling together, it's cheaper & easier to just take a taxi or car service to LGA ... vs. the transfer by GroundLink, which is typically shared motorcoach or bus.

 

If you receive special "color" luggage tags for the checked baggage, and you will generally disembark or leave the ship mid-morning, after Express Self Walk-Off & Priority Disembark, and, ahead of most other "color" tags. For the Breakaway, once you collected all your luggage & clear CBP downstairs, you will be directed to the bus parking stalls - on ground level, part of the pier/terminal complex and board/wait for it to fill out - before leaving for the airport.

 

NCL usually also offer a post-cruise "drive-by" Manhattan tour with airport dropoff - and it's good for those with late afternoon or evening flight, last price I saw was $99 p/p.
