Any idea's as to what we can do post cruise (with suitcases) after our cruise in April ? Our flight from BWI to the UK isn't until 6:00pm, & we don't really want to sit at the airport all day. ANY suggestions greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Unfortunately, there's nothing within walking distance of the port. Towing your luggage may be a problem to the touristy areas as I think most are bricked or cobblestone.

You might want to check into the National Aquarium. It will cost you, but I believe they MIGHT have a place to store your luggage while you tour it (I would check on that first). There are also restaurants and shops in that area. And an observation deck/Top Of The World in the World Trade Center right next to it, which also costs money...but I'm not sure they'll check bags.

Harbor East is also a newer, more upscale, clean area you can walk around that's very close to downtown. Shops and restaurants galore. But again, I think bricked.

Hope this helped a little?

I know it's not what you wanted to do but I'd suggest schlepping the bags to BWI and hang out there. There's nothing close to the cruise terminal and I'd be concerned that even if you found a place to stow your luggage and took in a few of Baltimore's sights, you could end up getting hung up in traffic or the like and missing your flight home. That would be worse that spending time at the airport.

Inner Harbor is not that far away, but you would need a Taxi. If you self debark you should have enough time to go to Inner Harbor and visit the National Aquarium. I don't have a good idea for your suitcases.
