Mickey22 Posted January 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2017 We will be in Florence in the fall and are looking to take a cooking class either on its own as as part of a tour. Has anyone done this?
maryann ns Posted January 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2017 Yes, but it was many years ago. The company, Accidental Tourist, is still in operation. We had a great day and I still make fresh pasta.
brunello22 Posted January 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2017 I've taken a cooking class in Tuscany, but it was in Montalcino. Check out Active Gourmet Holidays; I believe there are options for Florence.

73mg Posted February 26, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 26, 2017 Enjoyed a fantastic cooking class with Walkabout during our visit to Florence in October 2016. We booked through Viator but here is the company website if you would like to book directly. https://www.walkaboutflorence.com/ Learned so much, had fun and the location is beautiful. Rare *Miss G* Posted April 6, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 6, 2017 I didn't take a class but I bought a fabulous cookbook (in English) at a great little bookstore by the market!
misspupule Posted April 21, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 21, 2017 We will be in Florence in the fall and are looking to take a cooking class either on its own as as part of a tour. Has anyone done this? Hey Mickey22 A group of friends took a cooking class at mercato centrale (huge market) at cucina lorenzo de medici, on the 2nd floor. Lots of fun, (aprons, instructors, knowledge, laughs, eat your meal, wine, and diploma). as you stroll thru market, there are glass windows to watch others at this class, was about 60 euros for 1 1/2 hours. You can also check getyourguide.com or eatingitalyfoodtours.com Haven't used them, did some research. Didn't want viator tours, not happy with them.
