New Orleans Erato Street Cruise Terminal Parking

Will I be allowed park in the*Erato Street Cruise Terminal then travel by trolley to the French Quarter before boarding for my Carnival cruise?

 

What time does the*Erato Street Cruise Terminal open?

 

My cruise is planned for April 1, 2017

If you get there early enough you can do it.

Except, you won't be travelling on a trolley. They are streetcars and the locals are very serious about letting anyone know this.

And the streetcar doesn't go all the way down to Erato. It generally stops at Julia Street.

I am from right outside New Orleans so this is a resident not a every so often tourist.

The last station of the street car line is very close to the port. You can catch and get to the "edge" of the French Quarter. It does not go "into" the French Quarter.

One line will follow the River Front down to French Market and pass right the foot of Canal St. then by St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square.

It also has a line that turns down Canal Street which again is along the edge of the French Quarter.

$1.25 each way and takes like 15 20 minutes to get up to the French Quarter.

I don't know what times they will start letting cars park but I know of people who say they arrive as early as 930AM.
