Hi from the Ruby. 1/7/17. Ask away

My question was sincere. Is was exactly about Ruby.

You had strongly lamented paying tips after currency changes

following BREXIT, so I aasked you about it.

You said your goal was to create controversy.

You can hardly complain when you do.

Personally, if I were on a cruise, I wouldn't be wasting my time

bickering on some forum.

I'll say no more

Ps. The cruise is excellent as usual

Not doing a live but if anyone wants any questions answering I will try and accommodate.

I'm on a cruise so I may get distracted, but I'll do my best

Hey,

Thanks for your offering in answering questions... :)

I would like to know the following, since we are going to do the same cruise in March 2017 on Star Princess:

-Are petit Fours still offered @formal nights in main dining room, and sorbet in between?

-Complimentary snack service @Movie Under The Stars?

-Still free Pub Lunch?

-Tea time still offered in the afternoon?

-Surf and Turf/Lobster/Filet Wellington still offered @formal nights?

That's the first things I'd like to know so far... :)

It will be a cold day you know where when I pay money for the pub lunch that has been free FOR YEARS! What's next?:eek:

Magic fingers massage beds, powered by quarters fed into the slots. :D

I didn't read that.

I may start threads to create debate and controversy, however I do not post lies

Fact is I'm on the Ruby 1/7/17 sailing.

1st sea day was $12 salty dog, no free pub lunch

2nd sea day, today. No salty dog, no free lunch

Don't shoot the messenger

Based on a 15-day cruise on the Star that ended last week, the answers to your questions are:

Yes

Don't know

Yes

Yes

Never saw a Beef Wellington offered the entire cruise including the third formal night, a.k.a. Lobster night.

Thanks for the "real time" reporting!

Was the first formal night the first or the second sea day?

We sailed from LA on Tuesday for Hawaii, Wednesday in Ensenada, Thursday first sea day and first formal night.

By the way, on your question about snacks during MUTS, our friend watched the Orange Bowl in the afternoon, and popcorn was available.

Also, the Pub Lunch which we've enjoyed previously was poor. Only F&C and fried shrimp. No traditional Brit dishes as in the past.
