plucasana Posted January 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2017 hei everybody, does anyone have a contact (email) address for the Westin dawn beach resort? We are thinking of purchasing the day pass and hope to get a better rate than with "resort for a day". Any reviews or advice is greatly appreciated !!! tia, sandra

cleophus12 Posted January 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2017 We did the day pass at the Westin several years ago through a third party booking site. While the hotel was lovely and the staff was nice, the day pass was a near disaster. We were supposed to have the use of a room included in our day pass and after waiting for hours we were twice sent to rooms that had not been cleaned. We enjoyed the pool for several hours and finally left. It was not an experience I will book again.
navybankerteacher Posted January 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2017 How is the water/beach at Dawn beach. Is it calm waters? We are staying at Dawn these weeks - there have been waves every day - not enough to make swimming bad, just not easy to get in the water. It has stirred things up so that snorkeling is not great. Good thing is that the seaweed which had littered the beach in past years is all gone. If you want calmer water, something on the south or east side of the island would be better right now - except, of course, for "Baby Beach" - near the butterfly farm - which is always pretty flat calm as it is in a narrow enclosed bay. SnorkelAway Posted January 17, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 17, 2017 Did you mean to write south or west would be better?

Our waiter last night just returned from the island on Sunday. He said that he found the water much higher ( less beach ) than on his visit in Jan of 2015. He said there really wasn't a beach much at all in Grand Case or Cupecoy and we said that's when you go to Mullet as it has lots of sand generally compared to those two beaches. He said that they did go to Mullet this past weekend and that it was lovely. For those unfamiliar with Mullet it is the beach past Maho which is the airplane beach.
