The alternative evening dining options in the Kings Court buffet on Queen Mary 2 and Lido restaurant on Queen Victoria have risen from $15 to $17.50 per person, while the Lido buffet restaurant on Queen Elizabeth has increased from to $10 to $17.50 per person.

This is old news. We knew about the increase back in September:

Queen Victoria will receive a refit on a similar scale to that of QM2's when the ship enters dry dock in June 2017.

QV's refit is in MAY, not June.

Typical first response - When revenue falls increase the prices. Better for Cunard to actually offer something different that might be considered worth the extra charge. I was recently on the back to back TA on the QM2 and could not for the life of me justify the cover charge for the Veranda restaurant as the menu was not unlike what was being offered in Britannia. As to the specialty evenings in the buffet for a cover, Britannia lunch menus always offer a Curry or a pasta so no need for this over priced extra.
