Slot pull help

Several questions for those of you that have participated in/organized a slot pull on Royal Caribbean...

1. Have you ever contacted the Casino host or manager to "schedule" a time for the event or to ask for anything from the casino to use as bonus prizes :eek:or ???

2. We are cruising the Freedom on March 26 - how would I go about making a contact with the Casino ahead of time ?

3. Any other suggestions or tips for a successful Slot Pull ?

Thanks for your help:)

I just went and saw the casino host the morning of day 2 when it's quiet and they have time to talk. Tell them you're doing a cruise critic slot pull on [day and time] and ask do they have any prizes they can support you with

We got some tshirts and key rings

Bring along some index cards. When the people sign up give them a number. It makes it easier to call them when it's their turn to pull. you won't have worry about pronouncing names wrong, plus they will know when their turn is approaching and make their way towards the machine.

Also if the casino host gives you enough goodies you can raffle the extras off by tearing the cards in half and numbering each half.

When a slot pull is organized, is it typically done immediately following the Meet & Greet?

Tht's been our experience, as you've got everyone gathered together. However, sometimes there's a conflict with the cabin crawl folks, so that does not always work.

I organized one that had maybe 20 or so people. Since our M&M was not even scheduled til day 4 (!), we had it on the first sea day at 11am. We had a separate sign up sheet on Cruise Critic before the cruise.

Although I did not ask for prizes. I did notify the casino manager after boarding, and said we would be using the Wheel of Fortune machine. I got there early to put a sign on it, and the manager showed up with some ship goodies (tshirts, magnets, free slot pulls coupons, etc.) and we raffled them off after our big win! Ok, our big break even! :p

It's a lot of fun!

We did ours on a sea day in the morning. It's usually quieter in the casino then. Met with the casino host earlier when he wasn't busy to let him know and he gave everyone a T-shirt. We also used the Wheel of Fortune machine. We like to use names because you it's hard to cheer for someone spinning if you don't know their name. It would would kinda funny cheering "go, number 2" instead of "Go, Susie"....lo!
