Free At Sea-same package each cabin?

With the Free at Sea, if a cabin has mixed ages and the adult definitely wants the beverage package,

 

(1)Do all members have to select the beverage package, with the minors getting the soda package?

 

or

 

(2) Can the adult pick the beverage package and the minors can have something else?

If you pick UBP, the beverage option is assigned to the first two guests and the minor will receive the soda package.

 

We have two cabins booked with one adult in each. Both rooms have UBP and SDP, which results in 2 UBP and 2 soda packages. If there's any benefit, it's that you only have to pay the gratuity on the perk you receive. For a 7 day cruise, the UBP is 99.54 and the soda package is 9.45.

I do not believe guests 3 & 4 receive a soda package. Two years ago they did, but when we sailed this fall the promo only applies to guests 1 & 2. Only one of my three children had "soda" written on her card and it was because she was booked as the second person in my sister's cabin. So it probably depends on when you booked if 3rd and 4th guest will get a soda package.
