Fred&Lily Posted January 22, 2017 #26 Share Posted January 22, 2017 I recommend last-minute booking on Hotwire and Priceline, but know the zip code for the area you want to stay ie: 33019 is Hollywood Beach where I bid.

muzzy 10 Posted January 23, 2017 #28 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Our cruise leaves Friday Dec. 8 and I too am part of the early bird crowd....I booked not one but two, two different hotels for the night of the seventh. I now have a a lot of time to decide which one. Seems to me SO many people book a few places since there is no charge to cancel that things do get really booked up and it's a crap shoot to get into a cancelled space closer to cruise date I booked Hyatt Place through value trips.com, and Best Western Plus Ocean Inn on booking.com. Does anyone have experience with both places? Both good rates, both good reviews on Trip advisor.

What's important to you, being closer to the port entrance and Total Wine or being close to the beach? What time does your flight arrive on the 7th? brunello22 Posted January 23, 2017 #30 Share Posted January 23, 2017 The Riptide Music Festival (Fort Lauderdale Beach) will most likely be held the weekend of December 2 - 3, so many hotels will be booked up, not only for attendees, but for event organizers, musicians, etc.. Lido_Deck Posted January 23, 2017 #34 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Thank you. Also thinking HPlace location better for dinner choices Meh...Not in my opinion. Coconut's, Lulu's Bait Shack, Drunken Taco, Bubba Gump Shrimp and Casablanca vs. Boatyard, 15th Street Fisheries, Southport Raw Bar and Outback Steakhouse. ooogra Posted December 10, 2018 #36 Share Posted December 10, 2018 I usually book three to four weeks before the actual trip so that we can et the room we want. Once I had a not so good experience when left booking for the last minute and the room wasn't what we expected since other rooms were either booked or occupied but we were staying their for two days and that was fine as long as the service was good (and thanks God phnr guys did their best to treat each and every visitor like a king)
