AK Dreaming Posted January 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2017 We are trying to decide what to do in Tortola. We are a family of parents in their 60s and "kids" in their 40s. Afraid the Baths would be to much walking for the parents? Mom is a bit scared of swinging bridges. Does the zip line course have those? Is the Dolphin swim in a nice setting. We did one on another cruise and the whole experience would beautiful. Any suggestion very welcome.
blue_water Posted January 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2017 How long are you in port? Do you enjoy a nice beach and fun beach bars? Or want something more like what you mentioned?
AK Dreaming Posted January 19, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted January 19, 2017 We actually live in South Florida and have nice beaches and bars. Kinda looking for something to do a little different than on the ship. I think we are there 7 to 1?
blue_water Posted January 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2017 OK - we haven't done either of the activities you mentioned on Tortola so hopefully someone else can help. I have seen reports on both in the past, you may want to use the search function to find those. A unique experience is the Baths on Virgin Gorda, but it's hard to enjoy that with such a short port time, and there is a lot of walking down and back up the paths and maneuvering through the boulders. If you don't do the zip line or dolphin swim there are nice island tours offered at the port. Hope you enjoy Tortola as it is a beautiful island! :)
