In Toronto Posted January 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Noticed that one of the cabins I am interested in has a square next to it and on the explanation chart states - PrivaSea. Never heard of this - What is PrivaSea? Thanks.

In Toronto Posted January 20, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Of course, I should have said which ship - it is the Dawn and is a mini suite. Deck 11. BLACKBURNROVERS - those pictures were very helpful and although the sides would cut down wind on cooler voyages, I don't think that I would like it. Thanks All! Will not choose this cabin. ColinIllinois Posted January 20, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 20, 2017 If you are talking about the aft ones on Dawn, i.e. 11686, here is a video. Looks nice to me. Good sized balcony.
hawkeyetlse Posted January 20, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) I don't know what's going on with the deck plan for Deck 11 on the Dawn, because there are only 4 cabins with the "PrivaSea" symbol, and two of them are the aftmost mini-suites on that deck (right next to the spa), and I doubt those are hull balconies… Edit: Thanks to Colin for the video. Those cabins are at the aft edge of the hull cutout, but since they have a full glass railing and ceiling to floor hull opening, I would not consider them to be hull balconies. Travelenfool Posted April 24, 2018 #10 Share Posted April 24, 2018 YouTube has a few different videos of the hulled balconies... we booked one for an upcoming cruise and hopeful that it cuts down on the weather (wind). Chesneygirl Posted April 24, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 24, 2018 We were in a priva sea cabin on the Jade a few weeks ago. We were pleasantly surprised and didn’t mind the balcony at all. There’s several shots of our balcony in this video that I made of our cruise. Feel free to skim through it to get an idea of what it will look like.
