Yes you can. Wine spirits or beer. A reasonable amount.

Yes. You can take on what you like. They have a rule about not taking on 'excessive quantities' which is designed to give them some discretionary power over anyone trying to wheel on crates for on board parties, but they aren't bothered about guests taking reasonable quantities for consumption in cabins.

This is one of the good things about P&O. We did a Caribbean cruise with Carnival last August and all drink was taken off of you when boarding and stored until departure day, even the booze you bought from duty-free.

Take what you want within reason

 

We've taken a box of wine and some sparkling wines and I know that others have taken litres of spirits as well

 

As long as you drink them in your cabin you are fine :)

We took 2 bottles of red and a bottle of champers.

We had planned to have a drink on the balcony as we sailed down the fjords however we ended up having a drink at the sailaway parties and rushing to get ready for dinner.

 

3 bottles brought home unopened!!

And I think that their on-board bar prices are the cheapest, hence on other lines, they prefer you to buy from their stocks :eek:

The prices a re akin to pub prices. Compared with some cruise lines they are extremely reasonable.
