I read on another post that AA offers some kind of Baggage service in San Juan. Can somebody please explain to me what this is? We have an late afternoon flight and wanted to do a little exploring before we have to catch our flight home and would be great if AA could take luggage early.

Whether or not they will allow you to check in at the pier will depend on what time you are flying out and which cruise line. And the time depends on the week.

I know RCI's terminal in Miami has an AA check in area. It is only available for cruisers with flights leaving after a certain time, but there is no set time. It changes each week. There was a thread on this a couple of months ago and the times ranged from flights after 11:30 to flights after 2pm. One person said the week they cruised it was only for flights before a certain time. So don't make all your plans depending on that it will be available for your flight times.
