Upgrade Question

I am taking my first Celebrity cruise and I know from past experience with Princess that if you like your cabin you've selected (OV - which I do) you should mark your booking NO Upgrade or META Upgrade only.

 

Is that true for Celebrity as well and if so, where would I do that online in managing my reservation OR do I call it in? Also, do I have to wait until final payment? Thanks for you help. Excited to see Alaska via Celebrity!

Celebrity will contact your travel agent first to let them know about the upgrade. Just make sure the TA knows your wishes. Can't help you with a direct booking….we always use an agency!

If you book a specific cabin then that is the one you will be in. I have been sailing Celebrity since 1995 and never had an upgrade.

I asked Celebrity about this and was told just that, if you book a cabin, that is the one you will get.
