lovestocruise19 Posted January 29, 2017 Author #151 Share Posted January 29, 2017 I love all the jewelry! Very nice. That amazes me about the recycled magazine. When I saw them, I started thinking about what shirts and outfits I own and what I could match them up with! Lol, typical woman, I am. I will be in San Juan in about a month and maybe I could find those earrings also. Can you tell me where, and I will try to find them. We are signed up with friends to do the carnival excursion "rum mixology and salsa dancing" , but we will probably also be doing some walking around. Our ports are following yours so far: Grand Turk (on my birthday), then San Juan...after that we go to St Kitts and lastly St. Maarten. Loving seeing your pictures!!! I bought the earrings from a street vendor. There were a bunch of little tents set up on the way up to For San Cristobal. It's not far from the ship. And they were only $7! A bargain for handmade! That was the order of our ports as well. Really enjoyed this itinerary. Up next, St. Kitts!
lovestocruise19 Posted January 29, 2017 Author #152 Share Posted January 29, 2017 I was excited for St. Kitts because it was a new port for us. I ate half a bagel for breakfast. We were off the ship a little late because it took awhile for us to be cleared.
lovestocruise19 Posted January 29, 2017 Author #153 Share Posted January 29, 2017 We had prebooked a ship shore excursion: St. Kitts Highlights and Brimstone Fort. It took awhile because there were a lot of people for this tour and they had to find taxi vans for small groups. We were the last to get a taxi van. We toured around the downtown area first. lovestocruise19 Posted January 29, 2017 Author #155 Share Posted January 29, 2017 We then made our way to Romney Manor. The gardens were very beautiful and they had a batik demonstration there.

lovestocruise19 Posted January 29, 2017 Author #160 Share Posted January 29, 2017 The next stop was Brimstone Hill Fortress. There was quite a climb to the top-25, 8 foot wide stairs, but it was so worth it. The views were incredible! We went down to the gift shop and I got two magnets and DH got a shirt. DH didn't eat breakfast and was starving, so we had snacks at the snack shop at the bottom of the fort. DH said his Fritos were stale, but my Sun Chips were good. funinthesun1964 Posted January 29, 2017 #164 Share Posted January 29, 2017 I love the pics of the cats, I love all animals. You took some nice pics there. You are photogenic, unlike me. :o
pghsteelerfan Posted January 29, 2017 #165 Share Posted January 29, 2017 I just found your review a couple of hours ago and am just caught up to your latest and am really enjoying it as much as I have your others. I couldn't see the pictures at the beginning of your review either but can see everything you're posting now and am really enjoying them and the review. We spent a few nights at the Atlantis Resort in September 2010...nice resort but I agree with over priced. We were constantly stopped to show proof (room key cards) that we were actually staying there. LOL!!! I'm also enjoying the second leg of your B2B...some of our favorite islands. We've done the southern itinerary out of San Juan twice since 2013 and just love it (St. Kitts and St. Maarten are two of the islands on that itinerary). I love that you're including the pictures of the kitties too...we've got four so I'm with you on missing them when you're away. Thank you for taking the time to share another cruise with us and I'll be following along till the end. :)
sstalk Posted January 29, 2017 #166 Share Posted January 29, 2017 Great review. Loving the pics from the Sunshine. We cruised her on the inaugural cruise from New Orleans in Nov '13, and really enjoyed her even with the unique deck plans. We were in one of forward ocean views on deck 6 and also had our own pseudo private balcony. But it sure was windy up there. lovestocruise19 Posted January 30, 2017 Author #167 Share Posted January 30, 2017 After that we drove to Timothy Hill where you can see the Atlantic Ocean on the left and the Caribbean Sea on the right. So cool!! I had been looking forward to witnessing this for myself:

lovestocruise19 Posted January 30, 2017 Author #171 Share Posted January 30, 2017 Oops, looks like I missed a Romney Manor pic: We went back to the port after that and popped into a couple of shops. I got a hat and t-shirt combo and found a cool map of the Caribbean.
lovestocruise19 Posted January 30, 2017 Author #172 Share Posted January 30, 2017 Back on the ship, DH made a mad dash for Guy's burgers since that was the only food option open (along with pizza). I chilled in the room for a minute and then went to get an ice cream cone. I ran into DH and he got an ice cream cone, too. I took a shower and waited not so patiently for supper. For supper, I had canneloni, fried chicken and s'mores parfait. The s'mores parfait was another dessert I was looking forward to trying from the new menu and it didn't disappoint! It was delicious! DH got the $20 upcharge steak from the steakhouse and an apple/peach pie.
lovestocruise19 Posted January 30, 2017 Author #173 Share Posted January 30, 2017 We walked down Deck 5 to go back down to our room and ran into our favorite photographer. I never did catch his name, but he was the one who took our B2B photo and the one who kept recognizing us as B2Bers (which made me feel sort of famous!) He had a photo area set up using frames and I convinced DH to let him take our picture. All the gangway shots of us and the dining room shots I hadn't liked so far, so I was hoping one of these would turn out okay and it did! After he took our photo he asked if we'd be on the next cruise, too! I wish!
lovestocruise19 Posted January 30, 2017 Author #174 Share Posted January 30, 2017 I watched a little bit of sailaway from our "balcony" while DH napped. I woke him up at 8:45 p.m. to see if he wanted to go to the variety act and he was too tired, so I just went by myself. If you look veeery closely, you can see DH napping! Lol! lovestocruise19 Posted January 30, 2017 Author #175 Share Posted January 30, 2017 I got a good seat and drank a mocha chocolate getaway to pass the time. The act was a comedic juggler named Dana Tison. I enjoyed it. I went back to the room and DH was awake and he said "how much do you love me?" He said he ate all the Pringles and I was thinking he wanted me to buy him some more. Instead, he tipped the can up to show me the bottom and, lo and behold, there was the missing San Juan frog magnet stuck right to the bottom of the can! Lol! DH went to the candy shop and I turned in.
