Problems shopping on board

We returned 1 1/2 weeks ago from a cruise on the Escape. My wife bought a watch, which has stopped working. The warranty says you have to pay $10 and return it to the manufacturer. Anyone have any experience dealing with NCL and their on-board stores? I would think that after less than a month they would offer some kind of warranty themselves.

They are selling a watch with a manufacturers warranty.

 

The $10 is just to cover shipping and insurance.

 

How much did you pay for the watch? Are you sure it's the watch and not just the battery that stopped working?

If it was one of those $10 watch specials that all ships seem to sell, I would throw it in the bin and buy another.

The shops on board are concessionaires and not NCL. They buy/rent the store space from NCL.
