ellenw Posted January 29, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2017 In October, we used Spain Day Tours for a private transport from the airport to our hotel. The price was 69 euro for up to 5 people. There were 3 of us, and we were able to connect with two more people on CC who were staying at the same hotel. Made it very affordable. The driver also provided a running commentary on everything we were passing.

NCruiser2012 Posted January 29, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2017 We took Aerobus (make sure it still runs) from airport to city center. We took cab from hotel to port. The cab dropped us off right in front of the ship. Cabs are relatively cheap in Barcelona.
cruiser&flyer Posted January 29, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2017 We're 3 adults going on the Epic in May, we are flying in from London and are looking for transfer suggestions to the ship. Can anyone help? Thank you Cheapest is buying what is called a T10 ticket for public buses and the Metro. It gives you 10 rides on buses and the Metro. 3 persons can share 1 ticket as long as the ticket is scanned for every person while boarding the bus or Metro. The T10 ticket costs Eur10. The bus from the airport stops at Plaza Catalunya and you can either walk to the ship from there or take the Metro or bus and get off at Drassanes for an even shorter walk to the ship. Luggage IS allowed on both the buses and the Metro. We have done it numerous times!!! Easy peasy and dirt cheap!
BrianC-80 Posted January 30, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 30, 2017 We didn't go straight from the airport to the ship when we were in Barcelona late last year as we overnighted in a hotel beforehand. However, for the return leg we had an early flight. So we kept our luggage, walked it off ourselves and got a cab with the set price someone already mentioned. From the cabin to the airport was about 35 to 40 minutes. No queue for cabs, and tonnes of them. The trick is to walk off before they start calling departure tickets (or at least go in the first couple). At that time in the morning there was no traffic at all. SquishTheWhale Posted January 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2017 We used Suntransfers. They were slightly cheaper than the fixed taxi rate and very good. Yes its easy to just get s taxi, but having someone waiting for you with your name on a sign is even easier. Used them in Tenerife as well on recent hols and they were good again. NCLfamily Posted January 30, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 30, 2017 Taxi to the port is fixed fare rate T4 €39. This. If you are getting off a flight and straight to the port then don't over complicate things. Go outside and get in a taxi. There was no queue at all when we arrived last year.
