cdm88 Posted January 31, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2017 Cruising with a guy who has never cruised and says he will only get off the ship if he can stay where he can see it. Any suggestions for Cozumel near the port? We are in port from 11am to 11pm so really dont wanna waste a day.

Believe me right next to the piers is mostly tourista/cruise port shopping and a few bars restaurants. Not a lot of "fun" IMO. You'll need to convince him to venture out. If he's afraid of missing the ship or the ship suddenly sailing off without him, convince him to head to a local beach for a while and to come back 2 hours before the ship sails or take a ship sponsored excursion which will ensure that he doesn't miss the ship. There is so much to do there and you can venture out on your own safely. We have rented a car and done the island on our own, taken a taxi to the beach, hired a driver or just walked around. Very safe and easy to do on your own.
vicd1969 Posted January 31, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2017 11 am to 11 pm matches my March Holland America Eurodam itinerary. I have a few people in my group who would be curious on the limited-range options as well.

Georgia Peach 4 Posted January 31, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2017 You can see the ship from Chankanaab Park or Paradise Beach, short taxi ride, but you can see the ship!
