Upgrade after guarantee assignment ??

Ok, looking for a last minute cruise in March.

 

Had one found on the Brilliance and then within a matter of hours it was sold out.

 

Now we are looking at the Indi.

 

They have blacony guarantee for about $75 cheaper than picking the cabin.

 

My question is. Can we book the guarantee and if we get a cabin location that we really really don't like (I don't feel like there are many of those) Would we still be able to upgrade and pay the extra money to pick our cabin??? Of course this is all being done after final payment.

 

We have only done the guarantee one time and we had good luck. And I know this would all depend on being assigned a cabin right away.

Yes, you can upgrade after final payment.

 

Note also that if you have a US/Canadian booking, RC normally allows you to change your assigned stateroom to any available in the same exact category as you have been assigned.

Thanks Bob, I knew we could switch rooms, just wasnt sure about the upgrade.

 

What was going to be just a quick trip to Florida is somehow turning into another cruise. This addiction is pretty awesome!!!

If you are going to try to switch cabins have one picked out and call C&A. Don't tell them about the qty and sound like it's no problem. Worked for us. They moved us (same cat) no issues and the call was less than 5 minutes.
