We are researching ways to get from the airport in Tampa to the ship and back from ship to airport. We have looked into Royal Caribbean transfers, airport shuttle service, or taxi or uber. What have others done and prices would help us to decide.

Taxi is $25 flat rate, probably less than the price of RC transfers for all except parties of one.

No public transportation (Train/Bus) options so I think you have the list covered.

We drove to Tampa when we cruised. We went down the night before and took the hotel shuttle to the Pier.

On the taxi, are there plenty of them out there? Do you have to call for them, are they reserved in advance? Is The price a flat rate per person. There are four of us now the others have made other arrangements.

We had 10 people the last time we sailed in Tampa, but used GroundJet-Tampa and Jamie, the owner, was outstanding to work with pre and post cruise. The number I have for him is 813-480-7674. Hope it's still a good number.

Taxis are easily available. That's what we have done and will do next time we sail from Tampa.

We were in a taxi to the airport in less than 5 minutes after going through customs last week. Come out of the terminal and turn left. It's much quicker than reserving a car service since you have to call them and then wait.

Plenty of taxis, flat rate of $25 between the port and airport, per taxi.
