MP-3 Player

Just purchased a MP-3 player wanted to bring it for music, small compact and easy to pack. Wondering if we can find a USB port to keep it charged. Will they allow this in the internet cafe ? Anyone else run in to this ? We don't have a laptop so thats out. Hate to have to leave it home.

you can buy a charger- usb to 110- i used one on a cruise last year- try belkin- radio shack- etc

The short answer is almost certainly not. The onboard PCs won't typically allow USB or other IO connections, though if you post your ship somebody will tell you for sure.

They is also a battery pack which doesn't appear to charge, but gives 20 hours per set of AAA batteries.

 

Alternately, you could hope a table mate has a laptop and will allow you to charge on it. Seems pretty unlikely.

You may, however, ask the internet cafe techy guy...he is always sitting there with his laptop. (atleast he is on the cruises I have been on...) He may well just let you plug in your iPod to charge it. Worth a shot! Especially if you tip him :)

not an IPod to cumbersome and a lot bigger. its a Samsung and the size of a Zippo. will check out Radio Shack etc.....

My samsung will also accept regular AA batteries which last about 40 hours...will yours do that? Maybe just throw a four pack of those in the suitcase and you are golden.
