We are sailing on the Sapphire Nov. 26 and Billy Hygate, the current Cruise Director will be on vacation and Neil Chandler is his replacement. Does anyone know anything about him?? Thanks for any info

Do you mean Gavin Chandler? If so, he was recently on the Sun Princess. Many people comment on the CD and the other staff in the "Live from the Sun" thread.

well maybe you'll enjoy him more then we enjoyed billy hygate. We never saw billy around the ship, nor did he participate in anything (not even the tropical party). He did sing at the production shows... like a couple songs but never even said a goodbye thanks for sailing with us kind of speech after he sang his songs.

i miss Graham

Hi All...thanks for your responses. I posted "Neil" because that is the name that the cruise director said was replacing him when he went on vacation on the Sapphire starting Nov. 19...We will just wait and be surprised!!!

Neil Chandler must have recently been promoted. He was on our Sapphire 2004 cruise and our Diamond 2005 cruise as a prominent member of the cruise staff. He's great, and I'm glad that he's getting the chance to be a cruise director!

There is a Gavin Chandler (don't know) and a Neil Roberts (had him on the Star in 12/2004).

Neil Roberts is not that good, sorry Neil. Quite frankly, he's too sane. Not crazy enough. Billy London and Trevor Bradford have been our favorites.

Trevor Bradford has become my favorite. He is just a super nice guy in real life - he doesn't come across as fake.

I went to a most traveled party 2 weeks in a row when it was held in the library on the Sun Princess. We were so cramped in this room - we could barely move around to talk to anyone else - so Trever and I spent quite a bit chatting about his wife, dog, etc....

Agreed. He's a great person to get to know.

Besides, that no one does the fairy at Pub Night, sometimes known as International Crew Show, like Trevor does.
