Our Star Princess cruise a year ago had to bypass Victoria because of rough seas. I don't think missing Victoria is that uncommon from what I have read from others. I personally wouldn't bank on docking in Victoria with reservations for 3 nights. You might end up in Seattle anyway and have to take the Victoria Clipper round trip from Seattle. JMHO :confused:

The odds are you will get in, but they aren't 100% by any means.

I guess if Victoria was missed entirely, they won't tender folks in, so is a risky situation. Darn, sounded like an easier way to do it. May have to do some serious replanning. :(

It seems a shame to get off the Diamond and get right on the ferry and head back. Sounds like a safer plan though!

Safer plan AND an extra night aboard. It would take some doing to get me to cut a cruise short for anything else.

Okay, it's looking like we may do a pre-cruise in Victoria. We really got scared out of getting off early, in Victoria. Thanks for your comments, everyone! :)

 

Being I'm from Wa. I've been to Victoria only 2 years ago. But, my traveling companion hasn't, so I'm happy to go and see again!
