Error Message at X site: MDR dinner reservations

We have two parties (each with two persons) who all have Select Dining. At the Celebrity site, trying to make a dining time reservation for the four of us. So this is the ADD a Friend functionality. ........and getting: Unfortunately, these reservations may not be combined to create a single reservation. Please proceed to make separate reservations for each party.

 

I thought persons in different cabins (reservations #s) could make a combined reservation for Select Dining ?

I believe you need to link your cruise reservation numbers before you can combine dinner reservations. At least that's how it used to be done a few years ago.
