Upgrade e-mail for Canadians

Has any one from Canada who took the "at par" deal, ever received an upgrade e-mail? And would it be in C or US?

I have not received an upgrade email --- when you use to have to call in for the upgrade, whatever currency you purchased the cruise in, that would be what you be bidding for.

 

Now the question that comes to mind do they change the currency to see what the winning bid really is or is it a number -- meaning $1000 CDN is really not $!000 USD, so do they see $1000 or do they see $788

I booked a Baltic cruise this coming October using the "Canada at Par' rate and received the Upgrade email a couple of weeks ago. It does note that the bid prices are in Canadian dollars.

When placing a bid it is USD and states that in confirmation email.

If they charge you USD after listing them in CAD, I think there would be a problem.

I checked by pretending to upgrade. It is very definitely CANADIAN dollars.

We are Canadian, got email, out bid is in CAN funds.

We were booked for March, 2017 under Canada at par, received the email for upgrades and upgrades were clearly indicated as being in Canadian dollars. We didn't bid because we already had our favourite cabin category (H6).
