Rebels82 Posted February 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2017 I received the Princess VIP offer in the mail and will be going on one of the sailings. For those that have been on one of these " VIP" sailings: 1. it says we get VIP check - in .....is it marked VIP check in or does it say Casino or something else? 2. what have you had for your special in-stateroom amenities? 3. what have you had for your VIP cruise gift? Thanks for any information.
hightownCO Posted February 15, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2017 Saw your post and had to go check my mail. I got one too! I went on a VIP cruise last year, Grand to Hawaii. It was a great cruise. I don't really remember any special amenities in the cabin on boarding. The drinks on us card was there with a lanyard. The gift on the last night was a boxed gaming set with cards, dice. Kind of useless. There were gifts sent to the cabin on several days - champagne, canapes. Based on play, I also was offered the Crown Grill one night. Platinum so boarded with that group but there was a sign for casino guests to sit at and I'm guessing they boarded after I did. The VIP host, Giancarlo was great and so was the regular host. They made things fun with lots of drawings. I won a snowball raffel for $1350 and also won the slot tournament (only$200 but still appreciated). Had a few good pays on slots. All in all a great cruise. Am thinking about the Emerald, Mexico in October. Would love to do Alaska but would want my daughter to go and she'll be working or back in school. Any other questions let me know. mzlinda Posted February 15, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2017 Although there were plenty of options, none of the dates worked for me. I'm really disappointed. I sailed on my 1st Princess cruise in August so I don't really know how their casino offers work. I'm hoping they send another round of invitations out when this offer expires. Sent from my iPhone using Forums I'm guessing their offers don't come out very often just by my own experience. The last one I received was November 2015 and at that time I booked a cruise offered (Hawaii) in October 2016. The other VIP cruise I went on was in 2012. I didn't sail Princess at all between 2012 and 2015 but did sail Carnival and they share the casino services dept. Sorry you couldn't find a cruise to book. Some were too soon for me as I have a big cruise booked for April and another in June. Would love to see Alaska but would want to take my daughter and she's not free then. And can't just jump across the pond for a cruise even if it's free, especially since my April cruise is a transatlantic. So this Mexican Riveria was the only choice for me. muggo11 Posted February 24, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Wow. I have never gotten a VIP offer from Princess and I am a heavy user of the casino. I DO get the casino rate of about 35% off. AND have gotten free Princess cruises as part of a Sands/Venetian promo. I have now received 2 Carnival premier offers. Since Carnival and Princess are both managed by the same casino company, you would think play levels would be rewarded somewhat similarly. Rebels82 Posted March 2, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Looks like I was just "lucky". I have only been on 2 Princess cruises in the last 2 years and don't lose any more than $200/night at table games (Let It Ride or 3 Card Poker). If there is any interest, I will report back on this Princess VIP Cruise.

Rebels82 Posted March 18, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted March 18, 2017 To Sharon or anyone who has been on a Princess VIP cruise, Did the person sharing your cabin (assumption) get the free drinks while gambling in the casino perk? They were able to go to the VIP Welcome Party right? Thanks.

They were able to go to the VIP Welcome Party right? Thanks. My Princess VIP cruises have been as a solo. I just looked at the mailer and it didn't say. I would guess they would certainly be allowed at the cocktail party and probably get the drink card too. Carnival gives everything to the companion (except cash) and since its the same casino services running the casino I would think it would be the same. bulldog on water Posted March 21, 2017 #11 Share Posted March 21, 2017 Did a VIP cruise this past November, had a great time. Yes the person joining you in your cabin gets the drinks on us lanyard and also gets their name in on the raffle wheel. Raffles twice a day, have to be present to win, and only 39 VIPs on our cruise. I got the offer again last month but have 5 weeks booked already with other family members and can't squeeze one of these new VIPs in. I hate myself!!
