Note that I already purchased an 18 bottle package (no longer available) for $58... gonna have to call on this one.

imnance Posted February 14, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2017 Money talks folks. If nobody is buying the water at ridiculously inflated prices, then the prices will be changed until people start buying it.

triptolemus Posted February 14, 2017 #12 Share Posted February 14, 2017 I already purchased mine for our Feb 27th on the Gem...do you think they will price adjust? I just spoke with a rep. They indicated that they will automagically credit the difference as onboard credit. I explained that I thought the computer would go into thermal overload when it tried to figure out how to apply a credit to an item that is no longer available (18 pack). Would they just give me the 24 pack at the 18 pack price along with a credit? Would they show up with a 12 pack? Would nothing happen? I wrote a note to my PCC to handle. I don't care about the couple of bucks difference, I want the water.

Rileyz Posted February 15, 2017 #15 Share Posted February 15, 2017 Glad they did this. I mean their water prices started to make what Disney charges for bottled H2O look reasonsable and that's frightening.
ImNotSara Posted February 15, 2017 #16 Share Posted February 15, 2017 Money talks folks. If nobody is buying the water at ridiculously inflated prices, then the prices will be changed until people start buying it. That assumes quite a lot, to include but not necessarily limited to... 1) That the net profit is maximized with a higher volume at a lower price (which actually is the case may times by basic Economics 101). 2) That maximizing the profit from water is the ultimate goal. 3) That the headaches of handling an increased demand for water is worth the marginal profit from said increase. triptolemus Posted February 15, 2017 #17 Share Posted February 15, 2017 Thank you very much. I preorded two six packs or a twelve pack cant remember for my Getaway cruise end of month. Do we know how we will be refunded? Its a small amount but Ill take it lol As stated above, an NCL rep explained that folks who had purchased packages at the higher/older prices would receive OBC. NCMtnBoys Posted February 15, 2017 #18 Share Posted February 15, 2017 Old prices were outrageous. New prices are still outrageous. Hey NCL - when we were on Carnival Breeze in Oct 2015 we pre-purchased a 12-pack of water to be delivered to the cabin - for $2.99.

ImNotSara Posted February 15, 2017 #25 Share Posted February 15, 2017 Now if they would just lower the price of 18 year old scotch by Saturday then awesome! I am kind of waiting for the price of the $5 casino chips to come down to about $2.75 which is a lot more reasonable! I mean if they REALLY want to sell and quit being greedy, ya know what I'm saying? :D
