Amsterdam tour

We will be in Amsterdam for an overnight cruise stop in June. Can anyone recommend a tour that takes you away from Amsterdam to see the countryside? I am thinking windmills, tulips (if they are in bloom then), etc. We plan to do the city on one of the days, but would like to see more of Holland.

It will be too late for tulips in June, but the windmills will be there. We've got a tour booked with That Dam Guide in May. They have been very responsive with email responses and letting me know when tours were available.

Indeed no more tulips, too late in the season.

A good place to see windmills is Zaanse Schans, just outside Amsterdam.

Easy to reach either by train or bus from Centraal Station.
