Bermuda in April

I've sailed to Bermuda numerous times around the third week of the month in May, I've gone in June, and I've gone many times in September. My favorite month is September. The weather was fabulous, and the sea temps were very warm. More than once in May, the weather was iffy. It was quite windy and chilly at the water. It wasn't quite as bad at Tobacco Bay though.

I've been to Bermuda mid-April, and was lucky the water temperature was exceptional warm that year. Generally in April the air is warm but prone to pass by showers, but usually there is a cold current coming down from Canada still.

May is a bit better, but still the locals will wear wetsuit if spending time in the water. Remember this year the America's Cup will be held out of The Dockyard. Though the official race events don't start till the last week of May the Bureau of Tourism has remarked on the increase over previous years for early May reservations.
