bwarren Posted June 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2004 Is there any way to find out which nights of our 7 night Mercury Alaska cruise are formal, which are informal, etc.? We are going to miss dinner on the ship the 3rd night of the cruise because of our shore excursion; it sure would be nice to know which clothes I can take out of my already bulging suitcases! Tatka Posted June 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2004 On my Celebrity and Splendour of the Seas 7 days cruises formal nights were #2 and #6. On Celebrity both nights were during days at sea. On Splendour #6 night was in Naples and was probably not convinient for some people with early seating. I guess #2 and #6 are standard formal nights. ------------------------------

Zuiderdam 8/21/04 FLL - Key West - Cozumel - Grand Caymans - Half Moon Cay - FLL
Splendour of the Seas 05/15/04 Barcelona - Marseilles - Villefranche - Livorno - Chivitavecchia - Naples - Barcelona
Century 07/12/03 Eastern Caribbean FFL-San Juan - St. Thomas - St.Maarten- Nassau -FFL
Komarno(Volga)07/91 Moscow - Astrahan' - Moscow (honeymoon)
Komarno(Volga)07/90 Moscow - Astrahan'- Moscow
Admiral Nachimov(or Nakhimov) (Black Sea)04/1986 Odessa - Batum [/list] GO BRUINS!!!! doree Posted June 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2004 Tatka is correct. Usually the second and sixth night are formal. We were on one were they changed days on ports, hence, changing the second formal night. They do try to make sure that the excursions do not interfere. Have a fun safe cruise!!! bwarren Posted June 5, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted June 5, 2004 Thanks for the replies...do you think a casual night would usually follow a formal night? (It's night 3 I'll miss).
