I love your review! My son(18) and I were on the Jan 6 sailing if Navigator with this itinerary. Unfortunately I was not as healthy as I had hoped to be and I did not get many photos. Your pictures are beautiful! Would you be willing to sell any non personal pictures? In Labadee we got to zipline but we missed out on walking around. If not I understand. I love seeing it all again in your review!

Enjoying your review...beautiful pics!! We were on this sailing with you. It looks like we had the same idea at every port.:)

We went to Cas Abao beach in Curacao.

In Aruba, we took a taxi to the beach and hung out right next to the Hilton.

Next we did a private sail/snorkel in Bonaire (booked through Royal Caribbean's private journeys), we "may" have been right next to you in the marina. The sailing was with Blue Bay Sailings.

I mentioned to my husband that it would've been nice to have a Go Pro for the zipline in Labadee and when snorkeling. Your underwater shots were very good. I'm definitely going to look into purchasing one before our cruise next February. Now to decide...do we want to stay with the 7 night Harmony cruise we booked while on board and do a few days to a week in Key West before or a 12 day on Anthem. Decisions...

Well anyway, thank you for taking the time to do a review!!

Well perhaps we ran a not each other! I take my GoPro everywhere now... mostly for video but the settings allow you to do both at the same time... we find that the 7 day just doesn't do it for us anymore and where we can prefer something longer... that being said...Key West is fabulous

Sorry I didn't chime in earlier thanks for giving a great trip report. We are on this cruise March 31st and learning lots from your trip. Your pictures are great and both of you seem like nice and fun people to be around

Thanks... I am sure you will enjoy the cruise as much as we did... if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask...

Day 8 - Sea Day

We were now on our way back to Miami but we still had two full sea days ahead of us. Tonight would also be the final formal night. I am starting to realize that formal nights are a thing of the past, not everyone was really into it I think and those that were seemed to quickly change back into more comfortable clothes following dinner. I would have preferred the last formal night be held more mid cruise than toward the end.

So now off to the final sea day. We would spend it up on Deck 12 again and the weather was once again perfect. I also decided to tour the ship a little more today when I needed a break from the sun and get some shots of the different areas... You will notice I didn't take any food pictures. I never do. I know folks love to see some food porn, but I just can't be bothered to snap the shots of what I am about to eat and I just want to get to eating it. I actually also forgot to take pictures in the Windjammer... oy vey!

As for the Windjammer, I can say that we found this to be very crowded most of the day, especially at breakfast. It was easier to find a seat near the front rather than in the back. That being said, we always found a table, I do have to say however and this is not unique to this ship but people in general need to be a little more considerate during peak times in the buffet area. You don't need to be taking up 10 seats with all your friends while your playing cards and doing puzzles or reading a book. Its fine if this is what you want to do during the day, but at peak times when people are looking to sit down for a meal, just eat...then move on and come back later! Ok... end of my rant....

Staff in the Windjammer were very good and very quick to get tables cleared and cleaned up again. We found the food in the Windjammer to be very good, quality was fine (after all its a buffet) and the selection was great. We always found what we wanted! Sorry I missed taking pictures...

Ok... back to our sea day. Vanda sitting on the deck 12... ready for the day! Killer blue eyes in my opinion!

There were a number of different tour groups on board during the cruise. I found that the music on the outside deck was great and not super loud but just perfect. I am not a fan of some of the ships that play the club music with a DJ when out on the open decks... I prefer the live music. If I wanted to hear club music I would go to the club... Outside on the deck we need some beach, Caribbean style music to get ya in the mood for some frosty drinks....

Anyway... one of the groups on board had a little deck party going with these two singers and musicians who seemed to be a Greek band or something.... The pool deck dance area was packed...

This sea day also saw the pool volleyball game between the officers and passenger... always a cruise fan traditional event... not sure who won this one though... I don't think it was the officers by the way it all started...

Lets take a look around the ship some more now.... I made my way down to the Deck 3 where you will find the Photo Gallery. The photographers on board where not a problem at all. They were never in your way or face for that matter... All the photos they take you find by scanning your card at a station in the area and you then can see what shots you may have. There were no photos posted on the wall..We didn't buy any.

A blurry shot of the area... you can see a couple of passengers near one of the Photo display area..

_DSC1030.jpg

I popped into Studio B for a second to snap a shot of the Ice Skating show and caught a hockey game!

_DSC1031.jpg

Then I made my way into the Sapphire Dining room which is a large dining room scanning the 3rd , 4th and 5th decks...

I walked out to Deck 4 for a walk around the outside deck. You can make your way around the entire ship on this outside deck...

I made my way to the helipad... I liked how this was accessible. Often on the other ships (different cruise lines) this area is always closed...

Bar area in Theatre...

_DSC1062.jpg

The next stop on Deck 4 was the Schooner Piano Bar. The Piano Bar was a very popular place at night and often standing room only. The piano man was David Curtis Mutter and he was very good and very entertaining. He totally involved the crowd and even those walking through the bar. He made everyone feel a part of the show...

The Casino... I actually was told to put the camera away while in here... I guess you're not allowed to take pictures of people crying at all the money they are losing...

Anytime dining at RCCI is a joke as you mentioned. Carnival seats you immediately and Royal tells you to come back in an hour... I am not sure why they can't get it right. Great review btw, we did this in December & the Christmas decorations were pretty!

Yes, your DW is lovely with stunning eyes! And what makes this pic even better is the U of M hat...Go Blue!

The Navigator looks like a very nice ship and I would love to do this itinerary. We're going to Aruba and Curacao next month but I would love to snorkel in Bonaire! And there is no way that I can do all that I want to do in Aruba and Curacao in one day so I must go back. I'm assuming that you did not get any pics of the Navigator kids club? I'll have to do some research of what its like on the Navigator (I've never sailed RCCL)

Thanks for taking the time to do this great review! :)

We have never had problems with anytime dining. Just make reservations for what ever time we want each day. Decide depending on shows and shore times. Ring up or go to DR to change if want. Usually wait no more than 5-10 minutes. Get a drink from bar before hand, no problem

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and photos. We are booked on the Navigator for March 2018 on the 5 day cruise (had to cancel our 9 day on the Navigator for this Christmas) but are excited to try a new ship for us. We will have to hit the ABC islands on another cruise. Hopefully RCCL offers some good choices we can pick up for March 2019 to those islands when they release the next batch of cruises this week.
