What's Aruba Got?

If you don't enjoy swimming I hope you at least enjoy laying out on the beach. Baby beach is a great place and the water is extremely shallow (hence the name). You can go out for a long ways and never be much over your waist in water. So you can cool off in the ocean without having to swin and enjoy a great beach.

The natural bridge was a great place to visit. Sad to see that is collapsed, but may still be worth checking out just to see the natural wreckage.

I neither drink or Swim ( physical limitation). I want to go to Arruba to see the island, interact with the people and shop. There are great things to see and I am looking forward to just laying back and relaxing while my wife spends all my money at the jewelry stores witht ehe excuse " Look honey, see how much money I saved you." :p

Aruba is a beautiful island!! We were there last year ~enjoyed every minute of it. The beaches were nice! RedSail Sports (located on Palm Beach) offers different options also..one was a dinner/sunset cruise if I remember correctly. DH and I found some outstanding restaurants and the people were friendly! Downtown (near the pier) there are shops and restaurants galore.

The lighthouse is on the north point of the island- is quite a landmark. Many of the bus tours stop there.

We stayed in the high rise hotel district before our cruise and enjoyed a leisurely day just wandering through some of the gorgeous hotels/grounds before we had to catch our flight home.

Just some ideas..keep reading these boards..LOTS of great people with many ideas!

I have been out of the loop for some time now but back in with our upcoming return to the Destiny..when did the natural bridge collapse???

Flat, windy, overpriced and overhyped! Surely not one of my favorite islands. Actually, ranks near the bottom, and as for being all that friendly, I didn't see it. In case you are wondering, I have been there four times.

Been there four times myself and found it very friendly. Rented a car and drove all over. A great place to rent a car, very easy to get around. I did not find it overpriced. It is flat, a desert island, but it has interesting some interesting rock formations. And the beaches are great for water sports and activities. The only negative of the beaches to me were that they were a little too active with boats and jet ski's. I like it a little quieter. While it is not my most favorite island, I like St. John, VI., Bermuda, and Grand Cayman over it, it is one of my favorites and better than most of the many Caribbean Islands I have visited. I have a cruise booked for November 2006 on Crown Princess and I am looking forward to calling there agian. One of the reasons the group I am going with of around 100 people booked this cruise was because of the itinerary.

I agree. For a guy, I think it is very boring. I was in the casino a lot losing money. Now, for the ladies....you will have a blast. My girlfriend did everything a girl could do, spend money on clothes. I will never return to Aruba ;)

Some may disagree with me, but we thoroughly enjoyed the Atlantis submarine. Got to see lots of undersea life & a couple of sunken ships. We booked on-line through atlantisadventures & saved at least $10pp from the ship's price. Their office is a short walk from the pier.
